The Singing Chicken Story
Singing Chicken started, in a way, with a chicken named Trouble.
Trouble was a Barred Rock hen who had a talent for getting herself into exactly that. Years ago, while she was recovering from a leg injury in a little indoor cage, she got lonely. Chickens are flock animals and Trouble decided that if she couldn't have her flock, she'd make do with us. She started talking to us, and before long, she and Christa were singing back and forth to each other. Our oldest kid, who was 8 at the time, drew a picture of Trouble during her time indoors, and that little chicken became part of our family story.
Years later, that spirit found its way into Singing Chicken Foods. We started making granola because we love good food, we love feeding people, and we wanted to make something that was genuinely worth sharing. What began with a few recipes has grown to be a busy table at the farmers market and now an online shop. We look forward to expanding our menu and continuing to bring you quality food made with love.
